Are you registered to dispose of your hazardous waste?
Whether handled and processed at Ling sites or via our WEEE partnership arrangements, specialist hazardous WEEE waste treatment services are available to all our customers. The Hazardous Waste Directive, effective 16th July 2005, requires by law that anyone disposing of more than 200kg of hazardous waste per year (equivalent to approx 5 domestic fridges) must be
registered with the Environment Agency as a Hazardous Waste Producer. Your business must record and track all hazardous waste by means of Hazardous Waste Consignment Notes.
Ling are fully licensed by the Environment Agency to:
- Carry Waste
- Dispose of WEEE Waste
- Dispose of Hazardous WEEE Waste
Types of Hazardous WEEE Waste:
- Domestic and industrial refrigerators and freezers
- TVs and computer monitors i.e. Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs)
- Fluorescent lighting tubes
